Dear viewers, I need immediate help to withdraw/revoke my current Asylum case. I have been waiting for interview for more then year now, i do have EAD from Asylum and still maintain F1 status with college. I got a job and now want to work with TPS benefit, can anyone of you guide me to how to cancel or revoke my Asylum case to file TPS. Any link or letter format to cancel Asylum case ? Please help.

Just dont respond to the interview. You still have a valid status. So, if you ignore the interview and other process, USCIS will assume that you have abandoned your case. And that should be it.

Thanks "Oh_Gaathe" for quick reply. The reason i want to cancel Asylum is i might want to travel to Nepal by end of this year so getting TPS benfit will put me in good position for that. I heard we need to send letter to USCIS to get the asylum case cancelled , is that correct if you are aware ?

Oh_Gaathe , that not proper way. USCIS will assume that you went back home so you are not responding. Go to local USCIS office and tell them you want to withdraw your application. they will give you receipt and later you will get receipt same as one you get while u applied saying your asylum application has been revoked. You can keep that receipt for future record. You dont need to give them reason why you are withdrawing . so dont worry about saying them anything.

If you don't want to jeopardize your status etc, don't get legal advice from Sajha. Talk to an immigration lawyer.

Thanks "Facebook" for your reply and feedback . Yea it looks better if i contact local USCIS office and tell them about the withdrawal of my application. I was looking for any kind of online application if its available online which i can submit for revoking my application, but looks like its not there. Thanks Kiddo for your suggestion, i am also thinking to go to a immigration lawyer with the complexity of the situation i have, if you guys have any referral for good lawyer please provide. Thanks
