@ SajhaKeto: one thing I really do not understand. If u use the TPS advance parole luxury, are not you taking the service of TPS status rather rather than H1B status? Will your H1b status protected if u use advance parole?

@Sajhaketo and yurika, As I understand, if you register for TPS, you do not necessarily need to apply for TPS EAD, advance parole etc. So, apply just for TPS (not EAD, not AP) and use ur other valid status H1B, or OPT, etc. for travel, work etc. Unexpectedly, if you lose you fall out of your other status (h1B, OPT etc), then TPS should protect you from deportation and you get time for either TPS EAD or other change of status. If TPS is extended after 18 months, and you re-register, and if you need EAD, or AP that time, you should be able to apply. Just you cannot have 2 EADs at one time. Using TPS will neither protect nor endanger your other status. To keep your other status, you should follow the requirements for that status. Hope this helps :) Last edited: 30-Jun-15 05:45 PM
