I have been a asylum applicant for almost two years. currently, I have EAD through aslum, and its almost time to renew it. Instead of renewing it, Can I apply for TPS EAD. In case I got TPS, would that make me eligible for MAVNI?

Can I apply for TPS - Yes would that make me eligible for MAVNI? - Yes, if you fulfill the requirement that you are in united states for two years(MAVNI Requirement).

One more question mero_naam_ho Bro! Yes I been here for two years, but not on single status. For the last 6 months, I am an asylum appliccant. Does this count as a legal stay? I was F1 before and never been out of staus

@Drogba In whatever visa you came before June 24th are eligible to apply TPS

damauli_guy · Jun 24, 2015 11:54 AM

@drogba yes drogba. They are eligible who came before June 24. And also who come after June 24 until Dec 21 2015

mangale · Jun 24, 2015 11:56 AM

ok awesome thx guys..just wanted to make sure....gud luck to everybody

drogba · Jun 24, 2015 11:58 AM

@mangale ... anyone who comes after 24th june is not eleigible to apply for TPS, they musht be continously residing from 24th june not after 24th june.

satrianic · Jun 24, 2015 12:18 PM

"criteria, including that they have been both “continuously physically present” and “continuously residing” in the United States since June 24, 2015." From or since June 24th.......means ???

mangale · Jun 24, 2015 12:30 PM

Lawyers have complected language..Since 24th means also from 24th not from/since 25th, 26th....or there afterward...dec 21st is just a dedline to register for TPS not to come to USA and apply for TPS.

satrianic · Jun 24, 2015 12:36 PM

@satrianic..can u put it on simple terms

drogba · Jun 24, 2015 12:39 PM

@esmen I think asylum applicant will count as legal stay but not sure. Regarding your situation I don't know about much. The best thing would be to talk with a recruiter.

mero_naam_ho · Jun 24, 2015 12:41 PM

@drogba......let us suppose two situation here Mr. X decided to visit his son in US for graduation, he flies from Kathmandu on 23rd June 2015, he lands at O'hare airport at 11:59 PM 24th 2015 and stamped on his passport as arrival date...he can apply TPS and work. Mr. Y decides to fly from kathmandu on 23rd but lands of ohare airport at 12:00 AM 25th june and stamped on his passport 25th june as arrival date..he cannot apply TPS, even if he does he will loss his $515.

satrianic · Jun 24, 2015 12:47 PM

@Satrianic.....so u saying anything after june 24 is invalid and before june 24 is valid regardless

drogba · Jun 24, 2015 12:57 PM

yes...thats what Since 24th june means, if it means since 21 st december than we can call all our family here in tourist visa and half or Nepal would be working here in US in no time.

satrianic · Jun 24, 2015 1:02 PM

@Satrianic....ok n thx..makes sense...

drogba · Jun 24, 2015 1:07 PM

WTF Fuck man, Its simple math every one, IF YOU ARE HERE BEFORE 24TH, YOU ARE ELIGIBLE. AFTER 24TH, WHICH IS TOMORROW, YOU ARE NOT!
