Looking for suggestions. For my parents who will be coming to US for the first time, is it better to take them for a road trip across CA or visit NY and DC?

california... road trip from grand canyon, vegas to san francisco, los angeles and yosemite area. Night camping at yosemite.

I was concerned about driving in LA/SF Is it manageable? I am used to driving in mid size cities but have driven in Baltimore and Chicago. Is there much in CA for middle aged folks?

san francisco and la isn't too bad. If you are used to mid cities then if shouldn't be a big problem.

Also you can park your car at the bart station and take train. Its really convenient.
