Exactly, Its better to let a hundred murderers walk free than to execute one innocent person. In a country like Nepal where there are no forensic capabilities and where judges have a price, one could use a million or so rupees to eliminate somebody else. An inmate on death row is a huge burden to the state due to the unending mire of courts, appeals, evidence, re-appeal, new evidence, changing statements. Nowadays these can also carry racial tensions if a person of a certain caste is convicted while the victim is from a different caste. For example if a Madesi is convicted of raping a Pahade girl and then is put to death, it could very well instigate ethnic riots. ६२ वर्षीयले गरे १६ वर्षीयाको बारम्बार बलात्कार ६ महिनाको गर्भ रहेको पाइयो   प्रकाशित मिति: 2:52:29 pm, March 19, 2015 कास्की, चैत ५ – पछिल्लो समय नेपालमा बलात्कारका घटनाहरु दिनहुँ जसो बाहिर आईरहेका छन् । बलात्कारका घटनामा युवाहरुमात्र नभएर ६० कटेका हजुरबाहरु पनि रहेका छन् । पछिल्लो समय मिडियामा आएका बलात्कार घटनाका आरोपीहरुमा कास्कीका लुम्ले निवासी ६२ वर्षीय डिलबहादुर घर्ती गुरुङले १६ वर्षकी एक किशोरीलाई विभिन्न प्रलोभन र धम्की देखाएर बारम्बार बलात्कार गरेको समाचार बाहिर आएको छ । गुरुङले विभिन्न प्रकारको प्रलोभन देखाएर यौनकार्य गर्दै आएको पिडित किशोरीले बताईन् । बलात्कारको आरोप लागेका गुरुङलाई अनुसन्धानको लागि हिरासतमा राखेको कास्की प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यलय कास्कीका डिएसपी बसन्त रजौरेका अनुसार कक्षा ९ मा अध्यनरत पिडित छात्राको स्वास्थ्य परिक्षण गर्दा ६ महिनाको गर्भ रहेको पाइएको छ । आरोपी गुरुङ पीडित छात्रा पढ्ने विद्यालय व्यवस्थापन समितिका अध्यक्षसमेत हुन् । घटनालाई गाउँमा नै मिलाउनका लागि गुरुङले परिवारलाई दबाब दिएको पिडित परिवारले बताएको छ । गाउँमा नै घटना मिलाएको खण्डमा १५ लाखसम्म दिन गुरुङ राजि भएको परिवारका एक सदस्यले बताए । जघन्य प्रकारको अपराध भएको कारण जिल्लासम्म आईपुग्न परेको पिडित परिवारले संचारकर्मीलाई बताए ।
