Looks like they again did not increase the h1b Quota...Expected to go over 220k Applicant. Lottery is for sure. Good luck for everyone!!! WASHINGTON – On April 1, 2015, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will begin accepting H-1B petitions subject to the fiscal year (FY) 2016 cap. U.S. businesses use the H-1B program to employ foreign workers in occupations that require highly specialized knowledge in fields such as science, engineering and computer programming. The congressionally mandated cap on H-1B visas for FY 2016 is 65,000. The first 20,000 H-1B petitions filed for individuals with a U.S. master’s degree or higher are exempt from the 65,000 cap. USCIS expects to receive more petitions than the H-1B cap during the first five business days of this year’s program. The agency will monitor the number of petitions received and notify the public when the H-1B cap has been met. If USCIS receives an excess of petitions during the first five business days, the agency will use a lottery system to randomly select the number of petitions required to meet the cap. USCIS will reject all unselected petitions that are subject to the cap as well as any petitions received after the cap has closed. USCIS used the lottery for the FY 2015 program last April. Maybe someone can answer this-- Expedite processing garney ki nagarney? What are the merits and demerits? Thanks in advance.

StatusPidit · Mar 12, 2015 8:26 PM

http://www.murthy.com/2013/02/... Premium processing is a peace of mind. It doesn't affect whether you will be selected by the lottery or not.

pokharako keto · Mar 12, 2015 9:26 PM

H1B ko Premium Processing fee kati hola bro haru? Kehi thaaha chha? Murthy.com maa ta $1,225 lekheko chha. Is that still the same in 2015? Mero employer le ta $1,500 maagdai chha.

StatusPidit · Mar 13, 2015 8:58 AM

It's the same $1,225 http://www.uscis.gov/working-u...

C..ronaldo · Mar 13, 2015 9:25 AM

1225 is the correct amount, and applies to all PP. The remaining must be a filing fee that they are charging or lawyer fee - whatever they are charging for. just FYI...you can always upgrade to PP later for all qualified application, once the application has been filed. If you have money and resources for PP, always go for it. Just in case you receive RFE, you know way in advance rather than waiting months and you might be cutting close with expiring OPT. It gives you some time to plan alternatives just in case things went south.

STUPIDA · Mar 13, 2015 9:31 AM

Thanks brothers. One more question and I'll stop getting under your skin-- What if I pay the PP fee but do not get picked by the lottery? Do I get my money refunded by USCIS or DHS, whoever? I mean, the $1,225.

StatusPidit · Mar 13, 2015 12:27 PM

Not only you will get your PP Refund, your company will also get $2325 (whatever the fee) refund for application along with your package as well. Good luck !

Thanks CR7 bro. You never disappoint me, either on or off the pitch. :D

StatusPidit · Mar 13, 2015 12:35 PM

Hahha bro, let me share you a story ! I had this nick name when CR7 was in Man U and I was fan of Man U, then he went to RM and I am always a fan of Madrid but since Jose M went to Chelsea, my attention to CR7 is really not that much currently as my name suggests. Let me Do a Ha-trick now on not disappointing you: You will be selected in Lottery, How's that ? have a great weeknd and drink one Blue Moon on CR7 name

C..ronaldo · Mar 13, 2015 12:43 PM

(Y) Blue Moon!! :D And, thanks

StatusPidit · Mar 13, 2015 1:27 PM

CR7, the name that i hate the most..just becoz of his on-and off field issues..no complaints abt the game though..and Man U is the hatest team..Agree with u on Chelsea though...

LOL; Guys are losing focus here. This thread is supposed to discuss about H1-B petition rather football. धमिलो पानि मा हामी नि माछा मारु न होइन? C..Ronaldo. I see how good fan of Man United you were the way you wrote "when CR7 was in Man U". If you know what I mean ;). You seem to me as a supporter for particular player/team who is doing good rather a fan. Fans are those who support their team/teams no matter what. Last edited: 13-Mar-15 02:12 PM

collegefootball: We both got disappointed on Wednesday huh ! Man, I couldn't believe that happened. One bad night as I say. I like both CR7 and Messi, he has the life so let him live the way he wants hhehe Kaliya: Haha, yup bro I may not be a loyal fan as I support team based on players, 2007/2008 - Man U; 09 - Barca; 2010 - Man City (fan of tevez), 2010-2012 (RM Jose and CR7), 13/14- Chelsea !! Now coming back to the point of the thread, I remember when I filled my first H1B on 2011 and the cap reached on 22 September, 2011 at the same day the cap was reached and all the applicants were accepted. Was a lucky fella !! I wish you and many of you'll good luck for April 1st !!!
