Education is a social phenomenon and as such, the existing situation is multifactorial. You can not think that government is only responsible for the good, fair or poor education despite our government is not doing what they supposed to . It is a very complex phenomenon. Poor education happens based on not having good educational policies, poor practices of teachers, lack of material circumstances of the school, and indolence of local authorities. Moreover, parents and students alone are not solely responsible, if it did not make sense to have educational institutions. In my opinion The problem of education in our country is not the governments, is not the teacher and, is not the parents. It is lack of incentives in educational microeconomics, deteriorating Nepalese social structure, deep inequality and with low social mobility. some one well said Education is the movement from darkness to light but we live in country where more than 12 hours a days load shedding. please visit: https://www.facebook.com/pages... I find your opinion on "Education" is incomprehensible, and what baffles me most is you try to deviate your readers to visit your personal Facebook page.  Your Facebook page and your short opinion on education is irrelevant.  I have no animosity towards you. It seems you try to introduce yourself as a liaison of xyz corporation. If so,then, its not a big deal, you need little more practice on Public Relation.  If you like us to visit any charity organization or Fundraising for non-profit, please let us know.

What the heck is "educational microeconomics"? You seemed to be lost. The main reason of lack of education is "lack of education" itself. Once people start knowing the benefits of education then they will start learning. P.S. This is not a platform for publicity. Good luck.

Anita is doing good, she is trying to make an awareness that education should be given to all, specially dalits and people who lives in villages, hills and Terai. I am impressed with Anita ji Last edited: 11-Dec-14 09:28 PM

You seem to be first daughter ( president's daughter ) . English may not be your first language but it can be improved this way , just my opinion , people can correct me ;-) Education is a social phenomenon , government is not the only one to blame ( my father is doing what he can including myself posting here ).Lack of good educational policies, poor practices of teachers, insufficient stationaries, irresponsible local authorities might be the cause of poor education . We cannot just blame students and parents ( moreover you can't blame my father ) In my opinion, the problem of education in our country are not the students, teachers, or parents, it is solely the government ( including my father, and all politicians ) some one well said education is the movement from darkness to light, and for that light I, my father and all cabinet leaders are donating our wealth to build school and colleges, hospitals and roads . This is how we prosper and from today I will be taking some english classes to write in Sajha ;-)

I "did not knew" she would be considered a public figure by virtue of being the President's daughter or for being a hand-picked official in the President's cabinet. My hunch is - either she has future political ambitions or might be looking for a suitable groom. And it is alright by me.   In any case, the Nepalese President seems like a good man.  The first daughter's initial post was going to trigger a very healthy and caring discussion regarding our motherland. Here are a few of my thoughts.  Education is certainly going to assist in building a modern Nepalese society, no doubt about it. Literate employees are easier to train for technical jobs. But regarding Nepal's current economic and societal picture, it has other bigger fishes to fry such as business investments, favorable government policies, access to capital, job-creation, yada, yada, yada. Have you heard lately how many Nepali youth are bound for dangerous jobs on the Qatari deserts, or in post-apocalyptic Iraq? But there are other pressing matters that are of more importance and urgency. There are these "dalits" in our society who not only lack education but actually are discriminated against when job-training camps come in their villages. Even if trained, they are passed over in favor of of the more privileged when the elusive jobs do materialize. Thus, the dalits have to resort to the most dehumanizing forms of work such as prostitution - just to feed themselves and their children. In the nooks and corners of Nepal those practices are still alive and well. Now the question arises, in order to get rid of these poor people's plight, what would you provide to these people first? Jobs or Education? (Please note, there is a huge difference between "Educated" and "Literate" and yes one can be "Educated" without being "Literate". And please do not confuse yourself with the idea that people with college degrees are educated. Quite a lot of them are merely trained for a specific line of relatively complex work. Needless to say, not all jobs require literacy.)
