Hey I'm very J of you. You saved 70K in 10 years but I am about 10K in credit card debt :( OMG I'm starting to feel depressed here because another fellow Nepal was able to save so much but not me :( :( If you want to get real feel of happiness, please pay my credit card debt and we will both be very Happy....trust me hehe

Also (sorry this is off topic) I am reading in FB that Indian PM Mr. Modi is coming to Nepal again to visit Bagmati River. Is that true? OMG we need a lot of people to clean that river....if you happen to also return to Nepal, please help. And please request Mr. Modi to also visit Aason bazaar coz that place can use a clean up too hehe Ok thanks

Its really good you have been able to save up $70 grands in 10 years. You are a millionaire man...I mean in Nepal lol. I think alike as peers above, you do not have depression, it is sex deprievation. Go to Nepal, start a business, get married, start a family and be happy man. Ask yourself what u want out of life... I am pretty sure you will get an answer. But honestly Bro, I believe you did well to manage savings of 70 grands...thats appalusable. Do you mind if I ask you what kind of job you have, or may be you can give us some advice on How to Save Money? I have been here 10 years almost and do not have any savings even as close to yours. Are you kidding, I have friends who were in US since 12 years and they have 500 grans worth of houses in Nepal, when I compare myself with them, I get really depressed. I just have a cash.

Ho ra, damn, Are you saying tapai ko saathi haru USA ma 12 yrs basera 5 Crore Nepali paisa ko Ghar kinyo bhanera? I mean I will be damned. Unless they had some business here I do not see how someone could make so much money. Comparision is Cancer. Also I do not think It is a good idea to compare oneself with another person...Compare You to You and Analyze everyday if you are being a better person or Not? But please- I just want to know what kind of Job you do, or what did they do? Do u work at a gas station, or do you own one or do u have an office job? Just my curiostiy?

Please refrain from using the term "depression" so casually. It is an extremely serious mental disease that's said to suck your soul out of your living body. It seems like most of us are naturally-gifted/self-proclaimed psychologists. What you're going through sounds pretty normal. You miss home and meals cooked by your mom. You miss your gaun/tole/phaant. You miss your friends and relatives. That's pretty normal. Assuming that by "grans", you're talking about bucks, not grandmas, its mighty impressive that you've managed to save 70k during your decade long stay. On an average, most people in my circle seem to have 3-15k in their savings account.

nepal007, they work in a ga station by quitting school as soon as they landed in US. They work everyday like 14-15 hrs a day. I saved 20 grans actually, I just thought it would be shameful to say that I saved 20 grans only after living so many years.
