Hello! Everyone, I applied I-30 (Immigrant Visa) for my mother.Her Visa was issued on May 12, 2014 and expired on October 02, 2014. I made a huge mistake by not looking at her visa expiry date which I blame myself for negligence. I assumed her visa was valid for a year and have to admit in United Staes within six months of the date that her visa was issued.So, I booked her flight ticket accordingly for November 04, 2014 but Airport officer in Nepal found out her visa was expired. So, she was not allowed to board on plane. I suggested her to drop her passport and immigration packet at the Embassy in Kathmandu the very next day. After 10 days, embassy in Kathmandu called her to return her passport and all packages. They told her to re apply again. what does that mean? Does it mean i will have to redo the whole process from the beginning? I am naive about this situation and would be very grateful to you if any of you have been in this situation and please could enlighten me on how this case will be processed and what I will have to do on my part.
