Hello Sajha Friends, For H1b Master's cap : The beneficiary's U.S. degree must be issued by an institution of higher education that is "a public or other nonprofit institution." The institution must also be "accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency or association" or "granted a pre-accreditation status." I earned my degree from one of the profit college which is accredited. I applied H1 in 2013 and approved. I am in H1b now. I heard that when we do H1 amendment or extension, they are revoking/denying the H1 because of profit college degree. I am planing to do my first time visa stamping very soon but before that i need to do my H1 amendment ( since i am working with new client now). Can we do visa stamping without amendment tho i have LCA for new client? Any Sajha fren that has h1 from master from those profit school? Please share your experiences. Thanks, KJ

When you switch your client and working with the same employer, you do not need to file for amendment, but just ta new lca with new client will work. Even when you go for stamping, take the new lca, as the consulate might ask you where you are working and if you have the lca. If you go with right documents you should be find on stamping. And i havent heard H1b denied based on the info you provided. It might have been some case about the specialty occupation. Hope this helps.

Yes, we haven't had any problems on the stamping. Amendment is necessary when there is significant change as in Job Title, or Duties or Salary, but just for the location change it is not necessary. http://www.nationofimmigrators... Thanks for sharing the link, will have to dig deeper on this.
