Recently I have been seeing a lot of activity in social networks regarding sexual objectification of women. There is a huge disparity in that whole context when you consider the kind of clothes women wear. Most of the objectification occurs especially due to the clothes women wear or lack thereof. This reminds me of good ole Borat who had a very subliminal message hidden by his existence. Take a look at this picture for a minute. What is the first thing that came to mind? Was it a ewwww? And why do you think this dress deserves such disdain as compared to this one below It is a subject of big hypocrisy when the same attire is considered fine on one sex but not so fine on the other. It is not a question of objectification but of cultural acceptance. There was a time when men and women both walked around free in their birthday suits and it was considered fine. Then we have these capitalistic propaganda machines that promote sex like it's the most markettable natural product, by using the common female as the unwitting marketing vehicle by near-exposing her female genitalia and glorifying the figure, and as a consequence catering to the male species' sexual desires by giving easy reason to uplift thier innate desires. This can be comparable with the animal specy that roam in the jungles or even something that's close to us in our lives ie cats and dogs. If all cats and dogs were dressed up then perhaps the sight of a near naked dog or cat would arouse their male counterparts. Thus giving rise to objectification of sex. You people stop blowing the horns of corporate capitalistic propaganda by falling predictably into their ingenious marketing ploy. All those women who have become women's liberation activists, you need to know that you belong to the animal specy and yes if a male animal in heat gets to smell that thing a little bit then they are genetically programmed to want a piece of that. So here's the reality. If you show them then they will want it. We are civilized so most of the men will be civilized about it, but the fact does not change that they would still want it. It's like a hungry person sees food but knows it's not theirs to have so they have to go along their way, but some criminal mentality might steal or rob the food. If you do not believe that then you might as well be living in another planet. It should not happen in our civilized world but you cannot ignore the truth. The word "should" should not be replaced by "the way it is". Last edited: 23-Jan-14 06:38 PM
