i want to take a domestic flight. but my visa has expired as well as my DL.... but i do have a valid passport.....is it a good idea to take a flight?

I don't think those officials verify the dates in DL. You just need something that's says your name, I believe.

A DL should suffice for air travel within the US albeit you might need to carry your passport incase you decided to grab a pint of beer at the bar. They tend to get anal about these petty issues.

Carry both . A valid passport is enough for domestic travel, but still carry driver ID even if its been expired. Nothing to be worried.
