Processing time: Total processing time 6-7 month. month.

Priority Dates for Family Sponsored Preference Cases   For family sponsored immigration, the priority date is the date that the petition is properly filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).  A properly filed petition contains the required signature(s), filing fee, and any supporting documentation required at the time of filing.

Applied in August 1, scheduled for biometrics on August 29th. Any idea in how long the f2a will be current?

budhobalak · Aug 16, 2013 1:31 PM

Budhobalak read this paragraph from USCIS september bulletin : D. VISA AVAILABILITY FAMILY-sponsored: F2A: This category was made “Current” in an effort to generate new demand for the upcoming fiscal year. Information received during discussions with the National Visa Center and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services indicates that this action is already having the intended result. Therefore, it is likely that a cut-off will be imposed for October. This cut-off is unlikely to have any negative impact on those who have already initiated action on their case prior to the announcement of the October cut-off dates.

jhilke_1 · Aug 16, 2013 4:40 PM

Thanks for the info, Does that mean no matter the F2A remains no longer current or not in October, the ones who filed in August or September will still have the visa availability and will get green card in 4,5 months if everything goes smooth.

budhobalak · Aug 16, 2013 5:02 PM

I guess so. But i dont understand his line "This cut-off is unlikely to have any negative impact on those who have already initiated action on their case prior to the announcement of the October cut-off dates." Generally they published october bulletin on september 13-14. So the October cut-off dates will be announced on the same date. "Prior to the announcement of the october cut off dates" bhannale september 13-14 pachi ko lai haina bhaneko ho ki, k ho k ho

Did you guys write postal code for address in Nepal?

sajhakothito · Aug 17, 2013 1:18 AM

Dilligaf: Why do the sponsor need to do biometrics again that doesn't make any sense, only the petitioner is supposed to get the biometrics done, please correct me if I am wrong

budhobalak · Aug 17, 2013 1:25 AM

sajhako thito le sodheko answer kasailai thaha cha, ma pani tyehi confusion ma chu, postal code rakhnu parcha? nepal ko postal code khojeko kathmandu area ko dherai rahecha, aafule khojeko thau ko chahi chaina .

jhilke_1 · Aug 17, 2013 1:41 AM

Is it one biometrics appointment for all forms i.e. I-130, I-485 and I-765? I am asking because I didn't get a separate receipt for I-130. I only got a joint receipt for 485 and 765.

dilligaf · Aug 17, 2013 8:59 AM

Nepal ko Postal Code 387 ho.
