Hello All and Namaste! I was wondering what the internet access in Nepal outside of the major cities is like? The reason I am asking is I am about to develop a free software that certain organizations could use and I'm wondering if I should make the application accessible via web or if I should make the application runnable from a computer. If it runs from the web- I will host the web application myself. It will allow organizations to pool data and see how to make improvements by sharing information. Running it on the desktop would require me to code a way for them to upload data whenever feasible or not upload at all. A web application also has the benefit that they would not need to update the software. It would also mean that there needs to be a persistent internet connection. I have never been back to Nepal since I was a kid and I really have no idea what the electricity and internet infrastructure is outside of the capital. If forum members could help me guiding what type of application- web based or desktop-based, is more appropriate, that would be extremely helpful. Thank you so much! TT
