KV Pharma was until 2011 selling for 5 dollars a share. They had a product named "Makena", an injection used by pregnant women. They were selling the same for as much as $!500 a month. However, due to pricicing and other things beyond my knowledge, doctors and pharmacists cried over KV's price manipulation. They had to decrease the price to around $600. Also, the government also allowed compounding pharmacies, which are not regulated by FDA, to produce alternative product that could be used instead of Makena. Compunders = competitors took the market away from KV Pharma and their revenue sharply declined. By August 2012, they filed for BK as they were late on paying another company, some $80. Now, a very strange thing happened. Remember last year, when several people died because of Meningitis outbeak? 50 people died. All blames went to compoundes. Suddenly Makena was in demand again, but KV was in bankruptcy. During BK, a private investing company gave KV $80mm so they could pay their vendors or lendes. Also during the BK, the senior secured note holders (KV) had their own lawyer team. Senior secured creditors are the ones where if you file for bankruptcy and you have a house, they're the bank. The unsecued note holders (the electrical company or the phone company)..also had the lawyers. The company itself was running as DIP (Debtor in possession).. The plan of reorganization has already been submitted to the court by the senior note holders. However, we all know that these plans can be amended several times until the judge finds that the plan is "fair and resonable" to proceed with. In the meantime, I've seen their court documents, the billing documents fom lawyers and the description of various billing done by the lawyers also include items such has "spending 15 hours" with potential investors. Who are these potential investors? I believe these potential investors are the ones who can do "alternative financing" and pay the senior secured noteholders in full. The best thing that has attracted me to this stock is becuase..this company has been around since 1950. Father was a scientist. The company was contolled by the family. The son, grew up, did not become the scientist and had conflicting relationship with the father. Since the family still hold majority of the common stocks and there is no mentioning of common stocks being cancelled...will see n couple of months. Right now, selling at 8 cents. It may go to Zero cents or it may go to 1 dollar. There is more to upside than downside with the limiited information that I have. Also, the more time this case stays in the bankruptcy court, the better the outcome for equity holders. So, hoping that the case keeps dragging until people above equity are paid by fair and reasonable amounts. Excuse my grammar! Forgot to mention - Do your own reading and make your own decision. You know that you're an adult! Last edited: 28-Mar-13 07:43 AM Last edited: 28-Mar-13 07:46 AM Last edited: 28-Mar-13 07:48 AM

it was quiet unfair to charge 1500 bucks for just injection, itz too costly which lead congress to lobby

sure it was..but no more expensive than the 50 death that people suffered! Makena still has 5 more years to go. Also, they don't only have Makena. With their so many years of history in the business.

I hate it that I've spend 500 buks for the iphone. Constantly have to worry about battery going dead. Did anyone care? No..why? Coz media supports the innovation. Well, KV's drug is also an innovation as they're the only FDA approved drug in the country. However, compounder gangs, who have link with congress .. wanted them out of biz! and media agreed! Its all comparable.

Congratulation on KVPHQ. It was around what..8 cents back when you put this message. Today it is selling at 74 cents. That is a lot of return in few months. Good digging.
