I am kind of confused here. So when i get engaged to a girl, i give her engagement ring and then on the wedding day i have to give her a wedding band. But, do they wear Engagement Ring and wedding band together all the time ? or how does it work ? Or can i just give Wedding band and not the Engagement ring ? I am planning to get married (probably enagement on the same day ? ) so what's the best thing to do here ? Please suggest. Thanks.

on a serious note - if i were you, i'd buy her just one, but a really good one. but in the end, your relationship/love can't be judged by the quantity or quality of those pieces of metal you exchange.

US_returnee, I prefer having both together :), but ask your to be wife. In case you buy both of them make sure both of them are cute and small. Normally wedding band is simple gold/dimond round ring ( at least mero jamana ma :p), which you put first and then engagement ring is normally diamond which you put after the wedding band. But again its your choice...and her wish..I don't think its compulsary to get both. Hope this helps

Give her both at the same time. They go together. Wedding band completes the ring.

Girls love rings or other jewelries as many as they can have..lol But my suggestion to you is if there are going to be two occasions where you have to offer rings to your would be wife, buy a set of engagement ring and a wedding band. Then, give engagement ring on engagement ceremony and wedding band on swayamber. She will wear it both as a set. In such case, you don't have to buy a very big engagement ring as it'll be accompanied by a wedding band. In other case, where there will be only one occasion for you to give her a ring, then go for a good size single engagement ring or a set of engagement ring and a wedding band whichever you prefer.
