5 megawatt is hilarious, but still could light up at least few thousand houses. If those few thousand houses would buy electricity from this company, they'll never stay in dark, but would NEA allow that? I've no idea. 1000 miles journey starts with one step, this step is really commendable only if they materialize it. Otherwise, nepalitude we all know we just talk, we don't work the work.

Yo sab fajul ko natak ho. Unless we build a reservoir based mega project, we'll continue face load shedding in the dry months. This 5MW project will barely produce 1Mw in the winter. By 2017 we'll be wasting billions of KW in the summer but we'll still face 8 hrs of loadshedding in the winter if they only build run of the river projects

To all those NRNs, Teach fishing. DO NOT give us fishes. We are getting these fishes, even much larger than yours, from so many different well-developed countries. So, do not mistaken yourself as a person who were born in the country you are residing in although you are now a citizen, GC or PR or whatever you hold. We appreciate your help. In my opinion, to solve the system you must be in the system. I agree with BT's & HSaap's opinions. At least, few thousands will get electricity. But, that is not a long term solution. 1. Girija ko pala ma Lauda : more that 1 arab Rs 2. Last time I read news that Mall Bikrima due to a person who got all money and faraar. 3. Just read a news; A Nepali Sarjari karmachari wants his pension who worked all his life in US. Fortunately, Supreme Court gave desicion against him. And there are hundreds of those NRNs, who ate in $$ and now wants to lick remaining Rs. To eradicate these problems are long term solution. Before this happens, I know that my ashes will be flowing along with Bagmati, much more polluted and dirty Bagmati then!! Pashupatinath le sabai ko rakshya garun. (I know many of you will be sitting on your comfotable couch with your laptop and a cup of coffee or Dal, Bhat , Kukhurako masu)
