 If you are considering applying for asylum- check this 2000 documentary before consulting with anyone including your friends or an attorney. Let me know if the link does not work. The name of the doucmentary is Well Founded Fear and they go and interview actual Asylum applicants and the immigration officers. They spent 9 months to make this documentary so this is probably everything you want to know about asylum process. You can download this video if you think it will help you. I suggest you download it because vimeo is the only link that I have found to be having this documentary online. If you have netflix, you can order the DVD.

 Also, if you looked at this thread but you don't have any issues with your immigration or you are not worried about your immigration status, please do share this to someone you know (friends/family)...who may find it useful on their application process.

 you're welcome and hope it helps. I'd like this thread be here on top all the time as we'll have asylum applicants for many years..but I understand that it is not possible in sajha.
