Girlfriend of one of my friends had been in a relationship with a different guy before. That was past, and now both of them really love each other and plan to get married soon. The guy knows mostly about her unsuccessful past relationship and loves her despite. But this friend of mine seems very occupied by a question. He says he wants to know many guys the girl has slept with before!! He himself has slept with 2+ girls (except this one), and says whatever number is there for her won't make any difference in their relationship. I advised, if the number does not make any difference, why bother knowing or asking? But he seems very confused whether to ask or not, and only way to get this question out of his head is by actually asking her. If he asks: 1) She might lie, and just say 1(her ex), or even claim 0 (not even with ex), fearing the consequences of telling the real number 2) She might not wanna lie, and also might not want him to know, so NO ANSWER! which could bring troubles in the relationship GUYS: If you were in this guy's position, how would you guys handle this? GIRLS: If you were the girl, and if the guy asked you the question, how would you answer?

I would imagine "x" out of 10 brides to be virgin but what I am really surprised is: you claim: about 50% of the girls remain virgin in Nepal before marriage where the margin of error is whatever. Where do you get this data from? If you read Yudhir Thapa's classic Lukeko Samaaj, your 50% might come tumbling down to where I am standing now. Therefore I would not put out any such bold number since there is no way to verify or validate.
