Source:Nepalnews Police HQ suspends three cops who guarded hotel room as inmate engaged in sex romp Three policemen stationed at the Central Jail, who were caught guarding the hotel room in Bagbazaar, Kathmandu, Thursday, while an inmate involved in sex with a woman. Head constable Ram Avatar Yadav and constables Bhuwan Shrestha and Ramesh Thapa, who took prisoner Sunil Tamang to Lotus Hotel, to allow him to have sex with a woman, were suspended on Friday and further investigation is underway, police officials said. They three policemen had taken Tamang out of his cell in the pretext of health checkup at Bir Hospital at around 11 am. Somebody who saw a handcuffed man being taken to a hotel called up the Metropolitan Police Range to register a complaint. A team the Singha Durbar police station arrested all five of them including the woman. The woman, who claimed her to be Tamang's wife, was released hours later as some of her relatives confirmed her claim. Tamang has been serving jail sentence after being convicted in robbery. The three policemen were having a lunch afforded to them by Tamang when the police team from Sindha Durbar station caught them. They are known to have received money from Tamang and other inmates for providing similar favours in the past as well.
