Yes my friends! I am going to buy a DSLR in this Dashain Tihar. I want to buy Nikon. Any suggestions? *I am very new to DSLR. I have seen people taking, however, they do not know how to use most of out it. *So, regarding that, I am a pure beginner. I want to spend $ in the range of 600-800$ (for BODY + 2 LENSES, if possible). So, any nice suggestions from my sajha friends.... I will be very happy to receive some. Thanks. -daum

 If you're a beginner, I don't see why you'd feel the need to spend 600-800 bucks. Surely you're not feeling the need to spend that much due to peer pressure?  Buy D5100 if you so desire. The price is pretty decent (500 odd bucks) and the camera is really good.  P.S. I'm semi-amateur (yes, you read it right, not semi-pro but semi-amateur) myself. I didn't even know that you could actually edit pics on your iphone until last week.  Good luck.

Thanks a lot riddle. But, it's too late now. I already bought one. And, actually it cost me 200$ more with memory card+ 4 yrs warranty + cover bag. Let me try to reach that semi-amateur point then. -daum
