Mohan Baidya says foreign aid is ‘no good’ for the nation CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya Chairman of the CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidya, has said foreign aid would only increase ‘foreign dependency’ and do no good to the nation. Speaking at the national convention of the National Industry and Trade Organisation on Saturday, Baidya said foreign aid should only be accepted when the nation truly needs it. He further said his party was also against foreign capital as well as foreign investment as they can be detrimental to national interest. If foreign investment is brought in ignoring national interest, it would not help in achieving progress and prosperity but would rather be a hindrance to development and increase foreign dependency.
