how come nobody can declare where Buddha was born. If Buddha was human being, there should be a proper location where he was born. And why after 2500 years people aren't able to figure out. Was Jesus born wherever he's thought to be born? What about Mohammad? Does the birth of origin change every few centuries depending on the political climate of the world? Can you teach a new version of truth in  few generations and market the version as universal truth? According to wikipedia, I just checked...one guy from Germany was the one who, with the help of a Rana official back in 1890s, declared..that buddha was born in Lumbini....Now can we really believe this german guy or not....if yes, why and if not why not? Did we really have to wait for 2000 years for this guy from germany to show up and tell us buddha was born in Lumbini? It's like someone from Nepal or India going to Isreal or syria or wherever and telling the whole christian or muslim world where Jesus was born or where Mohamad was born? Seems crazy to think that nobody can really verify or pinpoint for sure, all these things..May be the German guy is right or may be he is not right...who knows...this is what wiki says, about the linkage between Buddha and Lumbini.   . Quite confusing 4 real....learning brand new things all the time..for the first time..

Accompanied by the local Nepalese governor, General Khadga Shamsher, Führer discovered Ashoka’s pillar, an inskription on which, together with other evidence, confirmed Lumbini as the birthplace of the Buddha."
