ALso for all you newbs, DO NOT use coinbase to transfer. Login to GDAX (gdax.com) and transfer from there. Transfer fees in GDAX is lot cheaper than coinbase and it uses the same login as coinbase.

If you are trying to get into altcoins , buy ether and trade with ether instead of BTC. ether network cost are lot cheaper and faster.
