As per my experience, you don’t need a lawyer. You can start all the paper works on your own.. if possible file all the form together so that it will be little faster. Forms like I130, i485 etc. just make sure you have all the documents that support your marriage is genuine. If possible have small ceremony at the Temple with your friends and family in order to have some photo proofs.
