I have made couple of huge transaction, and the user "cement" is absolutely correct. I used Chase and they didn't have option to send it in Nrs. but only USD, which I thought was bad at that point.. but later came to learn is the best way as the bank here would not take any cut in Foreign exchange rate.However, I have noticed a small $25 probably my the banks in the Nepal but other than that the exchange rate seems to be close to NRB.
