Like sara_solta11 said, you don't need to pay SEVIS fee for renewal if you have been maintaining your F-1 status.
I renewed mine last fall and didn't pay SEVIS fee. I took these documents:
1. Letter from school (proof of enrollment)
2. Current transkript
3. Current I-20
4. All old I-20s
5. DS-160 confirmation, VISA interview appointment form/confirmation, bank receipt
Renewal was super easy and quick. The interviewer looked just at my current I-20 and transkript, asked just one question, and approved the visa.
Don't forget to take $200 (either USD or NRS...I paid in $) VISA fee, and Good luck!
