thanks for the article. a good read, and your point of view is straight to the point. My thinking however is-
i wonder how it is, for some those young domestic workers that go to foreign countries for work, and get mis treated.

In her case, i'd say she was just a young girl who's fighting sometimes with hubby just like everybody else.
her hubby falls for green card; hence leave her; or vice versa.
she tries to make her paper as well by paper marrying foreign national.
she hates it; and process is taking long. fuk
but this is typical situation of so many immigrant students here in US UK and Aus or anywhere else.
life aint that bad really in Western countries; especially if she's a working lady. Divorce is a common thing in such countries. Actually, such an independence is craved by many; but very few are lucky to be strong like her.
