FlyDubai Airline review?

It entirely depends on where you're flying from. In your case it seems you are directly flying from Dubai to KTM so may be that 30kg weight restriction does apply. I am not sure because I have never taken it directly but I have taken Flydubai 4 times (8 times if you count round trip) as a connecting flight to Emirates airlines traveling from US <-> KTM with transit in Dubai and I have never had any bad experience because I guess I know not to exceed my expectations on budget airlines. First, it has always been on time and second I have never had weight limit issue. The later is because Emirates allows total of 46kg (23 kg each) checked in baggage in economy class and flydubai must respect that as they are connecting the shorter leg of the journey. Also when you check in from Nepal - sometime flydubai has let me exceed total weight by couple of kilos - no issues. The "they don't provide food and beverage for free" argument - well they are budget airlines so what do you expect? The food they offer for purchase isn't that expensive and bad either - with ~$10, you can get both drink and food that should cover you through the trip or as somebody suggested, just buy it at the airport. Since the total flight time from Dubai to KTM is just ~4hrs, I am not sure food is even necessary.

So don't just listed to couple of guys who say "they are cheap and they don't offer food so don't take it". If you can save good money compared to other airlines and if you are fine with the weight restriction, I say TAKE IT. Again, going back to food argument, I have traveled within US on flights that take longer than 5 hrs and they don't offer food either - they offer some sodas but you can buy that in flydubai for very cheap - so for me that food argument is baseless. Last but not the least, this is a relatively new airlines so they have newer aircrafts!
