Back in Nepal, I thought starting a business was meant for making money anyhow. Providing a specific idea could be quite difficult. But now I believe that you have to provide something of value to the paying customer that the market or competitor is not able to. If you can do that, it will sustain your business venture with ease.
Instead,if you try to do exactly, what businessmen like Tom, Dick, or Harry are already doing, your business could prove to be very risky. I also set forth a disclaimer here, I do not have hands on business experience.
But if you have time and money at hand then you could start with a product or service that people would find it really useful and the market is somehow ignorant of. If you could fill that gap in demand, people would be more than willing to pay you for what you provide.
Jack Ma says there is opportunity in every customer complaint. Go study the market, start traveling around, you might discover just the calling you have always wanted, subconsciously .
I know this is too generic.
