I know the reason why your friend is not getting any interviews. No one is going to come to his door , knock the door and hand him full time job. He can not even take initiative of posting his job requirement and ask his friend to post for him how would he actually get a fulltime job.

Tell your friend to be pro active instead of asking others to ask others to help him.
