newars are the intellectual.economic,social and political elite of nepal. and they are so good at it they even get reservation as janajati .
even during shah and rana period, high caste newars were counted as tagadhari and behavied as par with ruling thakuri ,khas elite. and after it too they have over-proportionately represented themselves in politics,beuraucracy,trade and commerce, arts, music and pretty much every other field.
