I realize Newar community is like the 'dhood-bhaat' of Nepal's ethnic groups. Bahun-Chhetris wrongly place all Newars as one single group as their Vaishyas (merchant class) where as Mongolian Janajatis also wrongly place all Newars as one single group as Janajati (indigenous class) when the truth of the matter is, they are neither of those and at the same time both of those.

If you just bother to do a little reading of our history, you will have clearer picture as no other ethnic group of Nepal represents Nepal's historical, demographic, cultural, religious diversity as much as Newar community does.
