Many people have not watched the full video available and jumped into conclusion that the kid was safe with Harambe. Some even joked that the kid was more protected and cared by Harambe than his careless mother.
Well, if you see the two mins clip on its entirety you will see Harambe dragging the kid through shallow water. This could be a play or protection in eyes of a Gorilla but it is very dangerous for a human kid. We don't see what happens after he drags the kid to a corner, but according to the eye witness interviewed by CNN, there was enough reason to assume that the kid wouldn't be safe with the Gorilla.
Was it the Gorilla's fault. If anybody, he is the least guilty here. But he happened to be in wrong place wrong time. Very unfortunate but they did what was necessary. For once let's trust the expert on this one.
