ho ta ni. i have heard from some very reliable sources that nepal did set its time zone at 15 minutes apart from india's to show it is independent and is NOT associated with india. i also heard that it was to stand up to the british (the basis for all time zones is gmt, greenwich mean time) and prove their independence and strength and that they don't have to "follow orders" or merely accept what is given to them. bravo, nepal!!! sorry, no "only in..."s right now.
