Confused, hamilai pani confused garidine bhanya? It won't work on base 18 or base 10. While focusing on the left hand side of the equation (2+2) how can you multiply the term by the bases? The only multiplication you are allowed to is by the base to the power 0, which is 1. The multiplication you are doing is applicable on R.H.S of the equation. *************************************** Lets see which base system this can hold true. We need, 2+2=22 Left hand side is clearly 4. We now have to find out the number system (base) whose '4' equivalent is '22.' Or 2*X^1 + 2*X^0 = (4) .......4 not represented in the base system right now. Or 2*X + 2 = 4 Or 2X = 2 or X=1 So the base is 1. This is impossible as we cannot use the number '2' in base '1' system. Therefore, equation 2+2=22 can not be true in any number system.
