And then there's always two extreme.
One has to hail the King as the second coming and the other has to absolutely vilify it so much that it rejects every single entity attached to it, destroying any history.

I asked a question, point to me one single ruler who has gone untainted. That doesn't mean I will start praising my kings and chant, "raja aau desh bachau."

There is a third kind amongst us, who don't believe in Raj-sanstha, who doesn't blindly follow everything taught in elementary schools and get utterly patriotic, but also believes that certain things from our history has to be preserved because our identity is tied to them.

The constitution of US was written around the time Nepal was getting unified. Slavery was rampant at that time and blacks and women couldn't vote. That doesn't mean we should reject the constitution because it was built in tainted foundation. That doesn't mean we should take down Rushmore or US should abolish President's day etc.

All histories are tainted, it is upto us to acknowledge it, give the respect due and vow not to repeat the mistakes - not outrightly reject it or destroy it. Our present, and future, stands in the foundation of our history. You wouldn't be a Nepali, if it wasn't for our forefathers - including not just the Kings, but also the Kajis, chautaras, sipahis, kisaan, shudras and so on.
