@dctroll I wonder sometimes looking up to India or china to solve our problems is more of a cultural psychology than a political problem. The idea "ठुलोले सानोलाई गर्छ र सानोले ठुलोलाई सम्मान गर्नुपर्छ" is embodied in our culture ( and Indian culture), and engrained in most of our psychology. And, the lack of concept of "equal adults" (there is always someone elder). I wonder if this mix makes us dependent, unable to manage expectation and unable to make a deal - a deal is a give and take. A baby usually cries when it does not get what it wants. Are we always asking for things with India? Adults do not ask, they make deals. I wrote an article about my struggles dealing with elder people a month ago if you're interested http://sajha.com/sajha/html/index.cfm?forum=283&ThreadID=116071

@controversial thanks for bringing Nepotism in the light.. haha there is always some "ism" which tries to keep the power and wealth within one group - racism, castism, sexism etc. I think that the fight is about power sharing this time.
