thats why i mentioned sociology, economics, history. Survival of fittest is central theme in each one of them. and of course there is short term vs long etc........... and its human nature to go for short term benefits when long term consequences are not so clear cut. and they are mutually exclusive most of the times. Thats how we learn. By trial and error. Unless some genius leader comes along who shortens the process.
