It is probable that the originator of this thread might have taken the quote out of a larger context. Anyway, I do not believe in methodological aspects of Hindu religion or any religion for that matter. If Manu guy assigns anger, crookedness, and malicious nature to women he might have done it on the basis of his limited human experience or it might have been a reflection of his contemporary society. Anyway, I am a guy, I am Hindu, and I believe in god, but I do not believe that the practice of any religion will bring you closer to god. Humanity is what I believe will bring us closer to our creator not mythology. Peace
