It's part of evolution. Don't overthink too much. We are entering into space age and here you are talking about national outfit? Daura suruwal and other old customary outfits are obsolete, very inconvenient to wear, and they're not practical at all. I advice they be put to museums and people start wearing modern improvised clothing.

FYI, I've worn them in occasion and they're very uncomfortable.
