Working on CPT or OPT for F1 student, USCIS has really not given any clear information. Even in the post all it says is you have to fulfill individual requirement for each status but they haven't made it clear by saying "yes you can work " or "No its not allowed" or anything similar. Instead they have asked to discuss with your DSO. So from what I gather its upto your DSO if he is going to report your working off campus and how. Despite everyone else mentioning some DSO telling them you can't work I know someone who went to talk to there DSO and was told to apply for TPS and start working. So its really a grey area with a lot of confusion still. If anyone has more information regarding this I would also like to hear about it.
