The reason you explained may be one, but I am still not sure what exactly was in Khusket's mind on last day that he even didn't look at Miss Mary until the end. It is weird! Miss Mary was surprised too. You know what if I ever get a chance to meet Khusket I will ask him same question. Guess what! Khusket is a fictional character and I cannot find him in real life.
