KK, To the best of my knowledge, there is NO ONE working on making our highways safer. But I would be happy to be proven wrong about this. One set of morbid experiences you get while travelling on Nepali highways is seeing the corpses of upturned trucks and smashed buses . . . not to mention, traffick jams/lines arising out of accidents. I am not a transport strategist, but I would imagine that many of these accidents are preventable with a little bit of public education, common sense and, yes, by raising the cost of accidents for all bus/truck companies. oohi ashu
