As per my experience, Department of Passport in Nepal are pretty fast and they respond quickly too via Email. Nepal embassy is the culprit. They do not receive any calls or reply to the emails. I am not sure what's the point of having embassy here if you can't contact them. Normally once it's dispatched from Nepal, it will take about 1 month to 1.5 months to arrive in your mailbox. I know that's pretty lame but that's what it is.
