If you are working there, hang out with Nepalese engineers working in Companies like Qualcomm. or google something like Nepalese Community in San Diego( mostly engineers or research scientists with family). I am sure you will find some friends. Or just find somebody in UCSD as Incognitomode mentioned. or Search for Gopal Yogi (we call him Gopal dai) on facebook, he is very active, and knows about all programs. I used to work in San Diego in 2013.
