From my lawyer:
"With regard to whether you can change to Immigrant status while in TPS, there are a very specific set of circumstances that will allow a person to adjust his/her status to Legal Permanent Resident from TPS status. The most common way is when a person who legally entered into the United States and maintained TPS status is petitioned by a US citizen spouse or a US citizen son/daughter (21 years of age and older).
