Dear friends the time has arrived that I hand over my individual efforts to Nepali American Community.
I had a pleasure to meet many amazing leadership in Nepali American Community. We have to make sure that the message is clear. It's not about an individual Dr Rahim. It's about the fact that all Nepali American Community stands behind Our Nepali Families on the ground and we request our Congressional and Senate leadership to make sure Our Country USA gets engaged in Nepal in a more effective manner and keeps big relief organizations accountable. We DONOT want to make the mistakes of Haiti. We DONOT want to turn Nepal into another Haiti.
Like I always say "I DONT need your money, I need Your VOICE". I will not pay a publicist to get me a celebrity because he needs to do it for the right reason and I do not want to pay a Lobbyist to get me the ear of my congressman because they have to do it for the right reason and the reason is that "We are all Citizens of Humanity".
Rumor mills have started to question my motive because I don't work for a large relief organization. I do not represent UN or Red Cross and I am not from Nepal. But they are forgetting that end of the day we are all "Citizens of Humanity" I will forward all the money we have raised to Nepal Society of Texas under NANA - Nepali Association of North America. I believe Seattle will join and so will NY and multiple Student organizations. Any other Nepali Organization that wants to join this This Nepali American VOICE is welcome to join. It's not an organization. It's a platform. Any American any Pakistani any Indian any Nepali any Human being can join this. It's "The People's Movement" will change my profile picture now in solidarity to this voice and will remain this till we all have one voice.
