atomic, Eventually TPS is one step on to get GC or Travel document. The very thing you guys are not understanding is that these whole bunch of crowds are capitalizing the on-going situation in Nepal. That's the only thing I didn't like most. Everyone is dying back home in hunger, and these folks here are rallying to demand TPS. Does this picture fits well to you from any angle? You guys are calling me selfish and that, but to me these fews are the most selfish ones who are camping out demanding TPS with playcards on their hands.

If you scroll all my posts above, I've been hinting folks to call uscis but seems like everyone is coming up with their own emotional illogical rants. Here is the phone number 1 800-375-5283 and kindly ask them that you are a citizen of Nepal and that you like to know about TPS. Everything will be clear. TPS gives you legal status to work in the US, if you are on the verge of becoming undocumented or already one affected by disaster back home. It also eventually opens the door for you to apply for GC and further to citizenship. The whole concept of TPS is that you don't go back to Nepal because presumably your life out there is over. But they still want to fly back home hoping they could get easy entry back to USA. I warned in my very first post on this thread, you could be easily denied coz that's what that uscis operator told me. Return is not guaranteed under circumstances. I wanted to save your arse but you all went berserk on me. And then some joker came on me giving me lecture on TPS is not for traveling.

I know you folks called me selfish righteous opportunist, may be wanted to call me cocky SOB, but it's okay.. u didn't know what that word really meant. I don't even know how I became opportunist in your eyes..still wondering.

I don't disagree with some unfortunate ones living here in the US whose homes got destroyed in Nepal, whose visas are expiring and nowhere to go. Only choice they've is either go under the radar, work illegally or become homeless back home to their worst nightmares. They're the ones who should get TPS, and I urge US government to be very selective and precise while granting TPS and am sure they are.

And, one more thing about 'gari khana deu'. Yes, I do support fellow compatriots to get their status fixed and be able to work here with their heads held high. But this is not the right time to get your paper fixed. Le the right candidate get TPS, not all of you opportunistic swarms. Nepal is suffering, and the only thing we can do at the moment is to help them in the form of donation and sending money. You see the picture every day, just think about them for a moment. I don't have time to think about your paper or status. You've been surviving like that, survive but just don't capitalize the situation. That's the worst thing you could do. Later on, after everything is settled down, run the same campaign to White House to legalize undocumented foreigner(Nepalese), I'll happily sign it.

This is not a right time for me to fulfill your need but theirs back home.

PS: my uncle(Mama) at sindhupalchowk and lot other family members connected to us died, my dad's side village is completely wiped out, many died there as well. My parents here are severely depressed. Relatives back there too are not in good mood. Don't know how long it's gonna take for us to recover. I saw the field reporting yesterday at canadanepal and I couldn't help sending big chunk of my savings to help those immediately. You can do on your own too. Reliefs from donors are not getting soon to far reaching places like sindhupalchowk. I was asking other ppl that I know that we should do the same at personal level, they agreed and it's quick.
