Went back after 7 yrs last month. MRP, Visa stamping and of course engagement ceremony all within 3 weeks time. Excited yet anxious. I couldn't actually recognize my own house when I first reached home. So much of change, so many new houses, roads in construction and of course the price! Damn, everything was in dollar rate. But, it was home. I miss everything esp the time when mom would make chiya in the morning and we all sit in the kausi with the sun coming up through the hills.

I would really suggest taking a good mask to wear in Nepal. You should be able to find in Amazon or ebay. When I was suggested, I frowned thinking I was born and bought up in Nepal, I don't need a mask! But then later, I realised I should have listened.
